The Challenge
Namiko came to us with a successful local jewelry business but no online presence at all. She had built a loyal customer base through craft fairs and word-of-mouth in Southern California, but was completely missing out on potential sales beyond her immediate area. With zero digital footprint, her beautiful handcrafted pieces weren’t reaching the wider audience they deserved.
We started from scratch. During our first meeting, Namiko mentioned her love for California sunsets....those warm pinks, deep oranges, and soft purples that define coastal evenings. This became our design inspiration for her brand-new online identity.
Rather than using standard templates, we:
- Built a custom Shopify store with sunset-inspired colors that complemented her jewelry
- Created product photography guidelines that showcased the craftsmanship of each piece
- Designed a user experience that made first-time online shoppers feel comfortable
- Set up Instagram and Pinterest business accounts connected to her new store
- Established an Etsy shop as an additional sales channel for wider reach
Within the first three months after launch:
- 20+ products successfully listed online
- First online sale came within 72 hours of going live
- 37% of sales now coming from outside California
- Built an email list of 20 customers and counting
